How to Build an Awesome Computer Workshop!

Building your own computer is empowering, affordable and fun. By selecting your own parts and assembling them yourself, you will usually build a more powerful machine at a more affordable price. However, assembling computers on your own means going through numerous suppliers, hardware stores and online guides.

Code Ninja’s “How to assemble an awesome computer” will provide kids (aged 9 - 118) with the necessary knowledge, guidance and components to assemble their own powerful desktop. Our experienced instructors will provide participants with a curated list of recommended parts for different types of desktops to suit different computing needs (see below). After purchasing the parts, participants will be guided through the assembly process.

Frequently Asked Questions

+ How is the purchase of computer parts handled?

We partner with a vendor called Bizgram who is located at Sim Lim Square. The order is placed and payment made directly to them.

https://www.bizgram.com/

+ Would it be possible to purchase parts from Lazada or an alternate vendor?

We rely on our vendor partner to support us for this course. For example, if a part is damaged and needs to be replaced, our partner vendor would be able to replace it on short-notice. For this reason, it would not be possible to mix and match parts from different vendors for the course.

+ Can we exclude the monitor, mouse and/or keyboard from the purchase list?

Yes, that would be possible. However, the student will need to bring their own monitor, mouse and keyboard for use during the course.

+ Are the prices listed inclusive of GST? Why are there differences between the price listed on your webpage and the final quote?

Prices do not include GST and will fluctuate. The purchase of computer parts is made directly with our vendor partner and the latest prices can be found in the link below.

+ Is there warranty support after the course?

Hardware warranty provided directly by our hardware vendor. For this reason, please retain the invoice.
